School Day Basics

Parents and/or guardians must email or leave a voicemail for our attendance secretary if your student is going to be late or absent. Also, if you are picking up your student during the school day we request that you call or email at least one hour before you pick up.

SBG aims to utilize grading and classroom practices to reflect what a student understands and areas where growth is needed. Gone are the days of asking “what do I need to do to get an A?” We now provide our students and parents with useful, standard-specific feedback, to help accurately reflect a child’s progress through specific standards. Earning a grade is not the mission of education - we want our students to continuously learn and grow - SBG allows us to document and direct this journey. Click here for more information.

If your family needs assistance with exam fees, athletic participation fees, travel sports scholarships and other resources, please fill out the form linked below and return it to your school office or Family Access Network (FAN) advocate. All information is confidential.

English / Spanish

Each year the Oregon Department of Education provides:

• a Report Card for our schools and district
• a Special Education Report Card in English and Spanish

All incoming 7th graders are required to have one dose of Tdap Vaccine. Contact your child's doctor, a School Based Health Center or call 541-322-7499 to schedule an appointment at a Deschutes County Immunization Clinic. Pharmacists can also provide immunizations for children 7 years and older.
